About Me

I'm Sophia, a high school junior in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Growing up, I was fascinated by nature, especially the animals that made up the ecosystems. Although early on, my interests were more focused on marine biology, my constant interactions with local animals piqued my curiosity in land animals as well.

Living in one of the busiest cities in the United States, I experienced firsthand the "urban landscape." Even though Atlanta contains more buildings and manmade structures than some other places, it inspired me to look for nature around me.

I started this blog to share my research and combine both of my interests, as well as to advocate for various ecological issues occurring in urban areas, such as pollution and waste disposal. I hope some of my findings and tips will help you make more informed choices, or even just learn more on the topic of urban ecology. Any thoughts or feedback are welcome, just leave a comment!
